Datant des années 1900, l’établissement moderne Kvosin Downtown Hotel comporte des chambres munies d’un coin salon, d’une télévision à écran plat ainsi que d’une salle de bains privative pourvue d’une douche. La plupart des logements comprennent également une kitchenette équipée d’un coin repas, d’un réfrigérateur et de plaques de cuisson.

Le bar Aldamot est installé au rez-de-chaussée du Kvosin Downtown. L’hôtel propose un petit-déjeuner continental chaque matin. Désormais, le petit-déjeuner, composé de plats chauds et froids, sera servi en chambre ou au bar, sur demande.

La terrasse du rez-de-chaussée offre une vue sur la cathédrale et le Parlement. La terrasse du 3e étage donne sur le lac de la ville.

Le Kvosin Downtown est implanté à seulement 50 mètres du parc Austurvöllur. La rue commerçante Laugavegur se trouve, quant à elle, à 5 minutes de marche.
