Cet hôtel est situé dans l'une des plus anciennes rues de Reykjavik, l'Adalstraeti, à 200 mètres du Musée d'art de Reykjavik. Il dispose d'un centre d'expositions unique consacrés aux vikings et propose des chambres avec télévision par satellite et plateau/bouilloire.

L'hôtel Reykjavik Centrum propose à la fois des chambres d'hôtel et des studios indépendants. Tous disposent d'un décor moderne, d'une jolie salle de bains et de parquet.

Des plats traditionnels islandais et un grand choix de vins sont proposés au Fjalaköttur, le restaurant primé du Reykjavik Centrum. L'hôtel possède en outre son propre bar-café, l'Uppsalir.

L'hôtel a été construit sur les ruines d'une cabane traditionnelle de l'époque des Vikings. Un centre d'expositions rend désormais hommage à cette époque au sein même de l'établissement. Vous pourrez également y admirer les plus anciens restes humains, datant de 870 après JC.
